Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of Black Queen, a mobile card game published by Peace Harbor Studios. By downloading, installing, or using the app, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the app.
Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use Black Queen. If you are between 13 and the age of majority where you live, you confirm that a parent or guardian has reviewed these Terms with you.
Your account
You can play Black Queen offline without an account. To use online features (friends, networked matches, leaderboards, daily-hand sync), you sign in with Apple or Google. Your account is tied to that provider identity. You are responsible for activity that happens under your account. Keep your sign-in credentials secure.
Acceptable use
While using Black Queen, you agree not to:
- Cheat, tamper with the app, or exploit bugs to gain an unfair advantage over other players
- Harass, threaten, impersonate, or abuse other players through usernames, avatars, friend invites, or any other in-app channel
- Submit usernames, avatars, bug-report text, or any other content that is illegal, infringing, sexually explicit, hateful, or violates someone else's rights
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to extract source code from the app, except where applicable law expressly permits it
- Use the app, or any portion of it, for commercial purposes without our written permission
- Use automated tools (bots, scripts, scrapers) to interact with the app or our servers
- Attempt to access accounts, matches, or data that aren't yours
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules. Serious violations may be reported to the appropriate platform (Apple, Google) and, where required by law, to authorities.
Intellectual property
The app — including its code, card art, character art, sound, music, name, logos, and branding — is owned by Peace Harbor Studios (or licensed to us) and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app for your own non-commercial play, subject to these Terms and the rules of the app store you downloaded it from.
Content you create within the app (usernames, avatars you upload, bug-report text and screenshots) remains yours. You grant us a worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, transmit, and display that content as needed to operate the app and provide the service. You confirm that you have the right to submit anything you submit.
Third-party assets used in the app are credited on the in-app Credits screen and licensed under their respective terms.
Purchases, ads, and promo codes
The app offers a one-time, non-consumable in-app purchase to remove ads ("Remove Ads"). All purchases are processed by Apple's App Store or Google Play under their respective terms. We do not see or store your payment information. Refund requests follow the platform's policy; if Apple or Google issues a refund, we revoke the ad-free unlock on the next time the app verifies the receipt.
The Remove Ads unlock is enabled for Family Sharing on iOS and Family Library on Android. If you enable family sharing on the relevant store, members of your family group can use your Remove Ads unlock at no additional cost, subject to the store's family-sharing rules.
The free version of the app shows advertisements served by Google AdMob. If you buy the Remove Ads unlock or redeem a promo code, ads are disabled for your account on every device you sign into.
Promo codes are issued at our discretion, are single-use, are non-transferable once redeemed, may have an expiration date, and have no cash value.
Service availability
We provide the app "as is" and "as available." We do our best to keep the online services running, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, or indefinite preservation of match data. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time.
Termination
You can stop using Black Queen at any time. You can delete your account through any of three paths:
- In-app — Settings → Account → Delete Account. Runs immediately and signs you out.
- From the web — https://blackqueen.app/delete-account. We email you a one-time confirmation link; clicking it runs the deletion immediately.
- By email — email us with the subject "Delete account" from the address tied to your account; we process email requests manually within 30 days. See our Support page for the contact form.
We may suspend or terminate your access for violations of these Terms or for any other reason permitted by law. Sections of these Terms that, by their nature, should survive termination (intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, governing law) will survive.
Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Peace Harbor Studios disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including any warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and any warranties arising out of course of dealing or usage of trade. We do not warrant that the app will meet your requirements, be uninterrupted, secure, or free of errors or harmful components.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Peace Harbor Studios and its directors, employees, and contractors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including loss of profits, data, use, or goodwill — arising out of or relating to your use of the app, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the app is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or (b) US $50.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold Peace Harbor Studios harmless from any claim, demand, loss, liability, or expense (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your violation of these Terms or your misuse of the app.
Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Idaho, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. The United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods does not apply. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally must be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Bonner County, Idaho, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there. If you are a resident of a jurisdiction that grants you mandatory rights that this section can't override, this section applies only to the extent the law allows.
Apple-specific terms
If you downloaded the app from Apple's App Store, you acknowledge that these Terms are between you and Peace Harbor Studios, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app. In the event of any failure of the app to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any) for the app to you; to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Apple has no other warranty obligation whatsoever with respect to the app. Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as the app evolves. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page changes when we do. Material changes will be highlighted in-app. Your continued use of the app after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
